- The Grim Beeper Strikes: Israel is No Longer on the Defense

Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 will go down as the most epic day in espionage, when 4,000 Hezbollah terrorists were targeted in a coordinated beeper (who else was shocked that beepers were still in use) attack in Lebanon and in parts of Syria and Iran. Anyone with a brain cell immediately knew it was the Mossad, but it was absolutely hilarious to see numerous Instagram accounts question the safety of a Taiwanese beeper manufacturer, as initial rumors were that such a company was compromised in totality.
What this was in actuality was the world’s largest mass targeted assassination, a tactically impressive one at that. This operation was not a singular operation but a solid three within: Israel had to map out the Hezbollah supply chain for communications devices, insert itself somehow into said supply chain, figure out how to effectively insert detonation triggers inside the beepers, and then execute flawlessly. Any misstep and the operation would have been foiled.
Though the exact details will not be made public for years, if not decades as to the intricacy of the operation there is an earnest search online for the female CEO who speaks 7 languages of a recently shut ‘company’ out of Budapest)- some reports say it was 15 years in the making, other news sources have said far less time. What is known is that Israel used several European shell companies to control at least a portion of the manufacturing of the beepers, which were injected with a board inside of the device that had military grade explosive material (some news outlets reported 2 – 5 grams, others have shared it was 20 grams) that receives a code. It was hard to detect through any means, even with any device or scanner.
A senior Lebanese security source said the terrorist group had ordered 5,000 beepers made by Taiwan-based Gold Apollo, which several sources say were brought into the country earlier this year. Reuters sources cite that Hezbollah had been importing the pagers since 2022.
Ironically, back in February, Hezbollah planned to outsmart Israel – ha! by addressing gaps within their intelligence infrastructure. By that time, 170 terrorists had already been killed in targeted Israeli strikes on Lebanon, including one senior commander and a top Hamas official in Beirut.
“In a televised speech on Feb. 13, the group’s Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah sternly warned supporters that their phones were more dangerous than Israeli spies, saying they should break, bury or lock them in an iron box.
Instead, the group opted to distribute pagers to Hezbollah members across the group’s various branches – from fighters to medics working in its relief services.”
Other reports shared that originally the beeper order was purchased by Iran and then distributed to Hezbollah. That actually makes more sense as 19 IRGC agents inside Iran were killed in the operation, as were IRGC agents who were stationed in the eastern portion of Syria. If that indeed is true, this now sows irreparable distrust between Hezbollah and Iran.
Senior Hezbollah terrorists, including Nasrallah, were using old pagers, not ones part of the relatively new order placement. Though Hezbollah suspected potential tampering, not just of beepers, but all communications devices, the beepers along with the walkie-talkies were considered safe as they passed several airport scanning tests. The confidence was so high in their safety, that Hezbollah leaders were handing out the beepers hours before the attacks.
On Wednesday, Mossad along with Unit 8200 (the IDF’s intelligence unit) detonated numerous walkie-talkies that had a far higher payload since the batteries were laced with PETN, a highly explosive compound.
Initial (erroneous) reports came out that 10 – 12 Hezbollah subhumans were killed, but thousands injured. Below are the actual numbers, courtesy of a leaked internal Hezbollah document circulating since Friday morning:
- 879 killed (including Yemeni and Iranian Hezbollah terrorists)
- 602 very critically injured; 97 terrorists were airlifted to Iran
- 509 were blinded (partial and full)
- 2,187 amputation cases
- 1,735 genital area disfigurement cases
- 1,693 counted as other injuries
The above numbers were as of Friday morning; I am sure by now even more injuries have been reported. Who knew that terrorist organizations keep such meticulous records, though then again so did the Nazis and there is absolutely no difference between the Nazis of WWII and the Muslim terrorist groups.
Terrorists did not slumber this past week. On Thursday, Hezbollah leadership was arresting those involved in the communications division, and on Friday, after a day when most Jews wondered whether the coordinated espionage attack was part of a grander plan or a stand-alone thwart, the IAF heavily struck Beirut, targeting not only missile launchers but senior Hezbollah Radwan Forces commanders.
Among the 16 Radwan commanders that were eliminated, was the top prize: Ibrahim Aqil, the recently promoted military commander, replacing Fuad Shukr. Hezbollah easily replaces its top terrorists, so the actual kill is not going to disrupt operations; it was more of a targeting to avenge the victims of his terrorist operations since the 1980s.
A residential building was targeted where the terrorists were meeting. The dual nature of the week-long attacks was genius; target the beepers that only Hezbollah terrorists would be in possession of, which clearly shows that Israel does not indiscriminately kill civilians (anywhere), and the fact that the terrorist leaders were meeting inside a residential building (exactly what Hamas does across Gaza and in Areas A & B of Judea & Samaria, operating among the civilian populations).
Jihad Joe owes Israel a major ‘todah raba’ for killing Aqil, as he was behind the dual attacks against Americans in Beirut in 1983 when both the American Embassy and the U.S. Marines barracks in Beirut were hit. 241 U.S. and 58 French military personnel, along with six civilians were murdered when the barracks were targeted by a truck bomb. In the aftermath of the U.S. embassy bombing 63 people were murdered by a suicide bomber, including 52 Lebanese and American Embassy employees.
Instead, the Jihad Joe and Hamas Harris terrorist accomplices lamented against an ‘escalation.’ Only terrorist apologists do not admit that escalation began, fully, on October 7th from Hamas when 1200 civilians in Israel were murdered, 254 civilians kidnapped by both Hamas and Gazan civilian subhumans. Escalation began on October. 8th from Hezbollah when it rained rockets across northern Israel, in hopes of killing Israelis. Since October, 80,000 Israelis have been displaced up North. Over 8,500 rockets and drones have since been launched at civilians in Israel by Hezbollah.
Currently, as the IAF is strategically pounding Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, Hezbollah and its proxies are indiscriminately launching missiles at both northern and central areas of Israel. Nazareth and Kiryat Bialik have both been hit badly. Nazareth is a mostly Arab town, and there are 45,000 civilians in Kiryat Bialik – no military bases in either location. A home in Metula was hit by a missile, as was a kindergarten playground. School was once again closed because of Hezbollah.
How many more years are we going to tolerate Jews living at the whims of terrorists? Whether up North affected by Hezbollah, South, affected by the next Hamas, or anywhere in Judea & Samaria by the Arab occupiers in our ancestral heartland?
It is absolutely necessary for the IDF to ramp up its military operations deep into Lebanon; however, simultaneously, policies need to be enacted that will guarantee long-term safety for Israel. Diplomacy does not work as we are not dealing with rational beings. We are facing genocidal ideological bots. To them, Israel is an existential threat to Islam; Israel, the only country in the Middle East that has not fallen to the religion of mass murder.
Unequivocally that would need to mean Israel reclaiming Gaza fully, and completely subjugating the remaining Arab occupier population in the enclave that has been part of Israel since 145 BC.
Up North, re-taking control of the security zone (Israel has a legal right to per UNSCR 1701 as Lebanon is in clear violation), an area that PM Ehud Barak pulled out of in 2000. Barak saw the pull-out as a means to an end for Hezbollah targeting Israel; instead, Hezbollah capitalized on its ability to push out an ‘occupier’ to expand recruitment inside Lebanon and outside. Even past Lebanese President Hariri who was considered anti-Hezbollah expressed support for Hezbollah’s anti-Israel actions post-pull out as it was seen as a defeat of ‘occupation.’
“According to Shin Bet estimates, Hezbollah was involved in 21 percent of Palestinian terrorist attacks in Israel in 2004, and in 2005 Hezbollah funded 90 percent of the attacks carried out by Fatah’s Tanzim faction. According to one Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades operative in Nablus, Hezbollah provided his local group with $8,000 per month to purchase weapons and ammunition.
Hezbollah also directly took the fight into Israel.
It established Unit 133 in the early 2000s – either a parallel to Unit 1800, or one of its sub-units – to focus its operations on Israeli targets both domestically and across the Middle East and Europe. Unit 133 relies primarily on human intelligence activity, luring recruits with money. Due to the nature and purpose of the unit’s activities, it does not exclusively draw on Shia Muslims for recruitment.
For its operations within Israel, the unit was tasked with recruiting intelligence assets and terror operatives from among Palestinians in the West Bank and Israel’s Arab citizens. Antisemitic terminology aside (Palestinians, relating to Arabs; Jews in Israel from 136 AD – 1948 were called Palestinians), West Bank – a Jordanian occupation term from 1950), the excerpt above clearly explains how Hezbollah used the pull-out for its regional advantage against the Jewish homeland.
We are all also aware that until the terrorist regime is toppled in Iran, the region will not be quiet. Sure, Erdogan is a threat, but so long as Turkey is (reluctantly) part of NATO, they cannot join forces with Iran and Russia and China (at least not fully). Qatar easily could overtake Iran as the chief funder of terrorism, which is why the diplomatic dance with them needs to be highly choreographed; if Saudi Arabia establishes a true peace with Israel, without pushing the antisemitic ‘2 state solution’ – (there has been an occupier Arab state inside Israel, since 1922 – Jordan), that move will place Qatar in a far weaker position than it currently enjoys.
If anything, the liberals in the U.S and EU would match the financial backing of terrorism against Israel; as they are engaged in those antisemitic activities currently.
Until the regime in Iran is toppled, and hopefully for the sake of Israelis and 80% of Iranians who are not supporters of their terrorist occupiers, what can be done is what President Trump did successfully – bankrupt Iran through effective sanctions. Unlike the actions of Jihad Joe when he released $100 billion to Iran, portions of that staggering amount released even after the Jewish genocide.
In the meantime, it is up to Israel to take the fight on all fronts to the terrorists (both military and policy) without kowtowing to any entity. Israel has clear legality (historical and current international treaties including Article 80) on its side.
Just as the word ‘Holocaust’ had to be invented post-WWII to adequately describe such a whole-scale systematic coordinated attempt of an extermination of a specific race of people, so too, now Jewish international human rights experts created a specific word to describe the atrocities committed by Hamas and Gazan civilians against Jewish families on October. 7th.
‘Kinocide’ is now defined as the deliberate destruction or weaponization of the family unit with the intent to devastate an ethnic, indigenous or religious group.

However, overall, October 7th was absolutely a genocide as Jews were specifically targeted to be murdered.
The IG account, @persianjewess has done an incredible job sharing information about the families. We can never forget those brave souls and cannot rest until we are secure, as a Jewish people, that not just another genocide, but not another even small-scale attack anywhere in Israel will occur.
The IDF is not in Gaza solely for the hostages, but also for the 1200 innocents who were murdered in the Jewish genocide.
